Cracking Down on the Law, by Chekaylah Bradley

Upon the beginning of the session second of LIMUN XXVII, they decided to go with the topic Immunities, a case between Germany and Italy. Getting involved in the discussion, the delegate of the Russian Federation asked “what did Greece do? Is it official Italian territory even if it is in Germany?” However, the delegate of the United Kingdom proved she did her research and had facts to back everything up. As she tried to get an understanding, the delegate of China asked “when was the immunity set forth?” The committee received surprised visits from the Chairs of UNODC and Nation Building. Solving requested cases, China came up with a great idea of “let’s charge him with delegating under the influence.”

After the return of visiting SC, delegates of the United States and the United Kingdom clear up questions about Italy by reassuring that Italy violated the agreement and did not consult with ICJ first. The driving question of the debate was “should reparations be paid?” As a response, the delegate of Uganda believes that ICJ “should make Germany pay Greece.”
